travel-plaza-JFK

Today JFK Airport opened its newest travel plaza, which can be accessed off the Belt Parkway, JFK Expressway and the airport entrances at the corner of 147th Street and 150th Avenue. The $13,000,000 plaza is the only travel plaza in New York City available to motorists — the Sunoco gas station offers alternative fuels like E-85 and electric vehicle charging stations, as well as conventional gasoline and diesel. For dining, there’s Wendy’s (with a drive-thru), 7-Eleven, Qdoba Mexican Grill and Max’s Pizza. (Apparently free Wendy’s and Qdoba were served at the ribbon-cutting event today.) The plaza also features free Wi-Fi, a 24/7 dry cleaning service, and flight information screens.
