New Website for Historical Images of Brooklyn

New website Brooklyn Visual Heritage Project Chart just launched in the efforts to digitize historic images of Brooklyn and make them accessible to the public. There’s already a massive list of photo collections, which include images of subway construction, public housing construction, private residencies, department stores, armories, and the Eberhard Faber Pencil Company. We love this collection of shots at 11 Cranberry Street (above), which documents the detailing of the house and the interior design. And here’s a fantastic collection of homes and gardens in Flatbush back before the streets were paved. All the images were selected from the archives of the Brooklyn Historical Society, Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Public Library.
