Getting rid of forced air heat
I currently have forced air gas heat and not only is it inefficient but forced air blows around dust particles. And the noise is making it hard to sleep at night. I would like to remove the force air heating from my bedrooms. Does anyone have any recommendations on the best way to do this? And possible costs? I want to have a bit of information/knowledge before reaching out to a contractor.

If you have an old system; which it sounds like you do. It is time for a complete new system. I have done many over the years, keep it simple. A regular circulating hot water heat boiler in the basement with pipes on different circuits to control the temperature on each floor with independent thermostats and cast iron radiators. Choose a Brooklyn Brownstone Plumber that has been around for more 20 years and so knows how and where to run all the pipes etc.

None of those issues should be there with a properly designed and installed system.
