entrance vestibule

Hi: I would like to re-do my second floor entrance; I am having the outside doors stripped and stained; the little vestibule between the firs entry and second entry need to be re-done; I would like to put wallpaper on it; does anyone have any suggestions; the room has no heat so I would like something durable and nice. thanks terryhoppy

I’ve never papered my vestibule, but I had trouble with peeling paint along with the finish coat of plaster, which a plasterer attributed to the could. The repaired was complicated because there was decorative plaster work to be scared. The plasterer painted the repaired walls with our door paint, which he said was less cold-sensitive and the peeling hasn’t recurred. I wonder if regular wall paper might be similarly cold-sensitive? Perhaps a more durable material su ch as Lincrusta might be better?

I love wallpapers and think a vestibule in these rowhouses is the perfect spot for a bold print. They are pricey, but [Flavor Paper](http://www.flavorpaper.com/) (Brooklyn based) has some prints I love. I’ve got two of their papers in my house, including our poorly insulated vestibule, and I’m very happy with them. You can go by their shop and see the prints and papers in person, but you may need to make an appointment first.
