Base stair configuration and specs for new staircase with existing newel post?

After spending some time scouring google, I figured I’d check in on the forums to see if anyone could help. Due to deterioration we had to remove the old staircases from our brownstone and are having new ones put in. I am absolutely adamant on reusing the newel post for the first floor staircase and for the base stair to have the same curve as an original brownstone staircase. We went wider, and had to re-orient the staircase entry in order to fit both staircase and foyer (even with the super-steep originals, the previous foyer door wasn’t able to completely clear!). There is now a 90 degree twist landing 3 steps up so the entry isn’t as traditional as I would have liked, but function over form! That said I want to try to get the same “look” where possible. I explained to the GC (and gave a ton of photos) showing the slight curve commonly found on base stairs on brownstones and where the newel post is placed but wanted to see if anyone here had the actual specs – such as, “curve originates mid-point and curves to 30 degrees” – or even more amazingly a drawing of what you did for your home. (In a perfect world I could have my architect whip up, but to say things aren’t going smoothly there is an understatement – we are now only speaking through lawyers and are exploring changing to a new architect – so figured I’d try to find on my own in the meantime to keep things moving!)
