Replacing old gas heat boiler please recommend intaller no ads.

We used Parkset Plumbing for a boiler conversion (oil to gas) in our brownstone a few years ago. They were good to work with then and also responsive a few times when they came back for maintenance.

Gas heat furnace (baseboard heating) install. I’m looking to replace my old gas heat boiler in nyc and am hoping for an honest recommendation. I keep seeing the same companies names and frankly it appears they are ads. Are there only 2 or 3 companies in all of Manhattan that can reliably replace a brownstone boiler? Seems odd. Any real recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Gennady is indeed an expert. I’ve seen his work.
I teach a course on Boilers and Heating Systems at a school called Mechanics Institute in Midtown and I do a lot of private consulting work but I’m still a partner at Gateway Plumbing and Heating ( www.GatewayPlumbing.com ). Boiler work done right in Manhattan is an expensive endeavor no matter who is doing the work…if they’re doing it legally. The truth is even I keep seeing the same names over and over again and have wondered why. Maybe it’s a good thing.

I’ve used Hlad Plumbing to replace out boiler–they’ve been efficient w/good follow up. Don’t know how they compare pricewise.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you want to cut and swap your boiler; it is a revolver shot of choices. If you want to review what you currently have, assess the possible options available to you and have guidance in picking what best suits yours needs then the above are great options (Absolute and Gateway).
I would promote our company, but I honestly prefer to stay away from unit replacements in Manhattan due to Con Edison.

In all seriousness tho, I know he’s passed off most of his straight plumbing clients to others — we have at least three friends who used him religiously and he’s handed them off to others in last year or so.
