Such a shame, and right before the last Tetris piece had a chance to fall into place.
It’s not just a punchlist that you will haggle over but the unknowable issues that will occur a year or two later like leaky windows, facade problems, roof issues, etc.
Buting a new development from someone who did the work on a shoestring and went bankrupt is a recipe for disaster.
I feel bad for anyone who may have bought one of these units. However, that’s a great location and a similar bldg one block away on St. Mark’s is 100% sold out; one can hope that the crew that comes in to complete the job does a great job.
We’re possibly in the market to buy a place (our 1BR ids for sale) but with all of the new construction horror stories that I am hearing, I’d be hesitant to buy new and inherit a punch list as long as my arm.
