So what ever happend to this place? It’s not open- no sign of life. Just that awful sign.
Reminds me of the Fire truck in Flatbush with “Da Pride a Flatbush” in big white block letters on the side. I don’t think that’s a hip-hop reference…
Betty Bakery on Atlantic/Nevins (448 Atlantic) has the best red velvet cake I’ve ever tasted. The secret is their rich butter cream icing. Delicious.

To quote the cupcake blog above in 2006:

In every single article the NETWORK is mentioned along with the show, as at least somewhat important in making Magnolia popular with people and even with tourists. Which is called….drumroll….promotion!
Are you kidding me, 9:15? Magnolia is permanenty associated with Sex & The City. You can see this association referenced in blogs and media all the time. If a business is NAMED specifically on a show and more than once, hi, it’s receiving promotion from the network. But my real question is, if you are so clueless about pop culture, then why insist on commenting on it?
“Magnolia sucks my big toe” That made me laugh. Totally. Used to be good. One time, I walked by there and there were 200 tourists eating cupcakes with electric blue icing.
