So, this dive will be selling da special brownies, I gather.
This neighborhood needs pie, not cake.
I’m guessing we pronounce it
Da Cake SPOT-tah
Come eat what we GOT-tah
We bakin it HOT-tah
What language is that?
name one.
i walk on flatbush every night and can’t think of a single one.
some people will literally complain about anything.
There are actually many businesses in Brooklyn, especially along Flatbush, with PERMANENT shitty “plastic” signs like the one pictured above.
you’d have to be a moron to not realize that’s a temporary plastic sign.
it’s a great thing that they’ve started advertising with this sign before the place actually opens.
I not only hope that isn’t the permanent sign, I hope the corporation is working on a ‘doing business as’
I hope that’s not the permanent sign. Come on–spruce it up a bit!
Also, Cake Man Raven is the most overrated “bakery” ever. It’s merely built around the personality cult of the owner. Give me a break. The red velvet cake is not even really red velvet; the white frosting is made of powdered sugar and has no hint of the cream cheese flavor that characterizes red velvet. I also don’t like buying my $6 slice of cake from a non-refrigerated table stand reminiscent of my grade school cake sale.
