OK, serious question for y’all. Most restaurants in Slope, BoCoCa (sorry) etc. seem to have their inspection grades up. But according to a scientific survey taken by Mrs. Slopey yesterday, none of the three Indian restaurants from whom we sought delivery yesterday had their grades up. Each one reassured Mrs. Slopey they were inspected and were getting an A but none could state when the signs were going up. Any idea what’s going on? Are there still lots of uninspected restaurants? Is DOH doing Indian restaurants last? Is there a big lag time between inspection and issuance of grade sign? Are they all lying? Would you order from them anyway?

Although this was the first kiss between a white man and a black woman on U.S. television, Lieutenant Uhura and Captain Kirk didn’t physically touch lips in this famous episode of the original Star Trek series—actors Nichelle Nichols and William Shatner were told to simply feign the act. Thirty-two years later, the first network prime-time kiss between two gay men came on Will & Grace, between characters Will and Jack.

I’ll acknowledge that we were an imperfect society back then. Thank you for leading the noontime prayer to remind us of America’s great original sin.
The point remains: imperfect or not, TV was a unifying cultural force back then. Today, as Slopey pointed out, we are in the IPOD era, where everyone listens to what makes their comfortable.
tho i cant think anything cheesier and more absurd looking then two grown men kissing.

Montero’s has their “A” posted, Slopey.

I never knew TV references other kids were making……I frankly think I’m a much better conversationalist for it today.
Running out the door now to PC Richards. Not only am I getting a 60″, but will also get one to mount on my kid’s crib.
