oh, yeah, I completely forgot about sports. I watch baseball. Actually I like John Sterling so sometimes I watch the TV with the sound off and put John Sterling on the radio with Susan Waldman. It’s a little annoying though because TV is delayed by about 1 or 2 seconds.

Benson, I grew up without a TV in the home…And just look how I turned out.”
Calling my BIL right NOW and taking him up on offer of a new TV. Calling cable company to hook up cable with every channel known to man. Plopping my kid in front of TV day and night.

benson, never saw any of those things on TV.
I always thought I should get on the Rodney King jury (wasn’t that another defining moment?) cuz I was the only person who never saw his ass-whippin’.
My twin’s frosh roomie is one of the bigwigs on Family Guy.
i wonder if my views on sex are so warped cuz i essentially grew up watching scrambled cable pornography?

Kumbaya is the Canadian National Anthem
“TV used to be a unifying cultural force. Alas, it no longer is, as we can see from this thread.”
More channels = more narrowcasting. Hard to find shows whole family would want to watch together.
“Who of that age doesn’t remember certain events on TV: …..the debut of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show…..”
Oh no…don’t get Lech started on The Beatles!!
Damn, Denton. No Kumbaya?
