So yesterday I went to see my friend’s new Forte apartment. HOLY batman did they skim out on the finishes. You can actually see at what stage they went broke and didn’t finish a LOT of shit. Bottom kitchen cabinets are different from the top ones. Bottoms being high end while top is a cheapo version of IKEA (believe me, it’s possible). Cheap floors. real crappy moldings that will put Home Depot moldings to shame. NO Wiring done AT ALL for cable or internet. All the wiring is ran into the utility box in the closer but just left there (she’ll need to break a couple of holes to run them through walls). Cheapo bathroom cabinets even though tiles are nice (must have been done before they ran out of money). Building is nice though and lobby is done well. She has nice views. I can understand why it was sold for the price that she got it though. She’ll need to put in another 10K probably to get it to the level of a nice and decently finished condo. She is also planning to move a door and a couple of closets because the architect did a crappy job with the layout BUT thank god for her, her dad is a structural engineer so at least the drawings and filings will be done with no expense to her.
dipster, wow that person just sounds like a whiney ass. just say no, why do you have to give such a whiney explanation? i would have just responded with awwww is your trust fund running low!?

I actually told him his girlfriend was ugly and suggested they both move back to Ohio (needless to say i was in asshole whiskey mode)
Funny thing was he was smoking Camel Lights out of the sky blue box – which is the European packaging – which means he ordered them for about 15 dollars a carton online. Effin poseur.
