Rob, why are the strollers CHAINED to the radiators? That seems oppressive.

because these are 1000 dollar strollers.. probably would get stolen pretty fast if they werent chained down. hells, they’d be on craigslist right now if they were chained.. 😉 kidding kidding haha (perhaps not tho hahah)

  2. can someone point me to where you sign up for market research stuff? focus groups? there were some sites mentioned here before but I just searched and couldn’t find them.

speaking of pensions, I’m looking for them for my not-young neighbor. I have no idea what kind of work he did — I know he worked around Wall St and left very early in the morning in pretty nice suits. Anyway, he lost his job about 18 months ago and I ran into him last night. He was thinking he could “have some fun” doing focus group work and could I help him look into that — his computer skills aren’t great he says. Oy vey.

    anywho. anyone know?

  3. no, placenta eating started being talked about when someone mentioned that chef who was using his wife’s mammy milk to make CHEESE to serve in his RESTUAURANT!

  4. What with the moves in C, AIG, FNM & FRE today, the us taxpayer, through the Treasury holdings, is making gobs & gobs of money!!!!! Billions!!!!!

Moppet and I walked to PLG yesterday, it is so cool that she has passed the stroller age and can actually travel fairly well on legs. PLG has not changed as much as I expected, although there were a ton of strollers with west indian nannies and white children, which was surprising. I don’t mean that to be critical at all, just hadn’t realized the gentrification brigade had reached that far and that fast. Nannies usually get a pretty lousy deal, but being a working parent is no picnic either.

  6. “I don’t want to know how you all started talking about placentas, do I?”

Heather, in yesterday’s OT some idiot asked the stupidest question that led to it.

  7. MM, it is important for the congressional districts too and determining the representation we get in Congress. This info is supposed to be confidential and to include undocumented aliens as well, i.e. their status is not a part of the census, but you can imagine the fear level. I think that is why they want a lot of Spanish speakers — to reassure the people that they are not being turned into INS. This is a highly politicized thing too since there is a rabid anti-illegal immigrant attitude from some of our citizens.
