  1. “Yes, founded by the CEO of Overstock.com… Another obsessive nutcase.”

No Dave, they ruined a very good company.

“wasder, I also think they need to strengthen the 4-5-6 batting spots. They left way too many schmucks on the pond last year.”

Biff, the Mets was 6 in the league in scoring last year. They bullpen just sucked and blew games and BTW I think 5 of those loses was to the Phillies last year. Imagine if they won those games…

    The What

Someday this war is gonna end…

  2. re: Love Lane, I was asking specifically because wasn’t the Mets owner the main investor?

But yes, I agree the idea was not smart especially there seemed to be no price resistance at that location. They could have charged 500+ and would have been full. I was priced out myself long ago.

  3. “if something looks too good to be true, it ALWAYS is.”

    Too true, MM, too true.

wasder: I am leaving that Rod/Putz comment alone. But I have to tell you, your comment in the Friday thread about ‘not singing Kumbaya’ with What, almost made me pee in my pants it was so funny. The mere thought of you & What locking arms…was too good…

Biff: I think it’s hitting the sole of your shoe on someone that is the insult. I have to say, the guy had good aim! I think I heard that he said “President Bush, this is a goodbye kiss for you, you dog!”

  4. Inigo, according to certain people on this site, there is no such thing as a condo glut. How could you even suggest it?

That said, yet another story of proposed unnecessary condo development causing the destruction of perfectly good structures, ie, Bay Ridge Church, the church in Vinegar Hill, Love Lane Garage, and countless other sites, including the biggie, Ward’s Bakery and the warehouses in Williamsburg/Greenpoint.

  5. “Rod and Putz! that’s a riot. Hadn’t made the connection yet. PErhaps the mets should add another guy in “schlong” relief.”

wasder, I also think they need to strengthen the 4-5-6 batting spots. They left way too many schmucks on the pond last year.
