Mopar, I can only credit my resume and cover letters as my way in the door for an interview. I have a stock cover letter that I tweak for each job posting, making sure to highlight all of the skills that make me especially good for that particular job. I’ve also found it to be useful to state up front what my long-term goal is. I went on an interview recently where the employer told me he got hundreds of resumes but only picked 7 of us to actually interview. What caught his eye was my resume and the statement of a long-term goal in the cover letter.
I keep thinking of Cobble’s comments yesterday. Snappy, you’ve been so good about getting interviews. How do you do it? Do you have any tips to share with us? (I’m asking for me, not Cobblehiller — no offense meant to Cobblehiller or any one else.)

I’m addicted to Kashii when it comes to healthy cereals. They have this pretty good honeyish cheerio type that is less sweet then honey nut cheerios.
Yup, number 5 for 16 yrs.
I eat the healthy ones for breakfast and the sugary ones as late night snacks.

Honey Nut Cheerios has refined sugar.
Try the Kasha cereals. They’re sweetened with cane juice.
I don’t care about calories. My triglycerides are too high and I have cut back on most of my refined sugar intake of which the bulk was soda.
I won’t cut back on essentials: alcohol, desserts. But my breakfasts need a shift from Glazed donuts more days of the week!!!!
