” Mr.B defending his position on why he likes to include Horror Show Fridays”
I’m dismayed by Mr. B’s comment there. Did he read the comments everyone left two weeks ago? What does he mean by ‘What are you talking about?’. It’s been a subject for quite awhile. Has he ever addressed that thread and the comments received?
Cobble, the irony is this might be the one year we don’t do a big Easter. Everyone’s schedules are bonkers. May end up just being me and the hubby with a can of Chef Boyardee (I kid- about the Chef Boyardee).
ugh holidays. they never end!!! every year over and over same old stuff. i think im growing old and bitter. and i like the canned cranberry too, lines and all! tho isnt cranberry sauce in the can that foodstuffs that people are always finding fingers in!?!
Mother’s day requires a big brunch, eggs, waffles and/or pancakes, bacon, biscuits, all made by dad and the kids (and cleaned up by them too). Then taking mom out for an outing to the botanic gardens or Met or Guggenheim, then dinner out. Served with a side helping of many shmaltzy cards and flowers.

dave- I’m white trash? 🙁
We usually had lamb- no mint jelly.
Easter is when we break out the super heavy ethnic foods in my house. The ones that are really good but a pain to make so they’re less frequent.
Choereg bread- Armenia Easter Bread
Paklava- Baklava
Berek- Feta cheese and spinach filo triangles
Stuffed Mussels
Dolma- Stuffed grape leaves
Plaki- White bean and vegetable antipasta
Mint jelly, never understood it and I love lamb. Better to use a cup of wine and deglaze the pan.
A phone call.
