Luckily the wife and I have very similar taste (eames rocker, 70’s vinyl floral cushions on danish-y looking couch, table recycled from a drafting desk surface, etc.) And in the few instances where we diverge, we’re generally more interested in avoiding conflict than in getting our way. I think we probably end up pretty much even with who wants what.
“lol yep. they are the kinds of people with super expensive tricked out leased cars who live in their mom’s basement? ballers, indeed”
haha rob – yeah, there are definitely some of those.
my last time “going out” in LI i got made fun of because i wasn’t driving a “cool” car by a couple of toolsheds getting out of a newly leased acura (400 bucks a month? big whoop)
I’ve also noticed people my age who grew up in italian-american neighborhoods in LI and are part of close-knit families seem much more likely to stay in the community.
Biff, Let me repeat again on how lucky you are on raiding the right/optimal talent. My wife would never allow me or her to do it all. She prefers to make me do most of it and retain her nagging/complaining rights.
I still remember the first time I heard ‘The Revolution Will Not be Televised’, it was that amazing.
I was working in a supermarket and I used to go to the bank with three armed guards to drop the deposits at the bank. The guards were all Black, not in uniform, and drove a personal car to avoid attention. They listened to WWRL in the car, which at the time was the hardest core black music station in the city.
Then the song came on, and I said what the fuck is that song, I need to go buy it. I still have the 45, altho it’s way too scratched to listen.
In the spirit of the times, later they got arrested for conspiring with the (white) night manager to remove one of the cash bags (the guards had part of the safe combination, the night manager the other.
and by transformation what i really mean is domination
lol, lech.

You just think you do. That means her transformation of your mind is complete.

“flap my mouth impotently while my wife made all the decisions. Furniture warrior fail”
Lech, I would’ve paid money to see video of that
