“So strange, back in the day, it would be no big deal to go at it with other people in the room. Now, that would be totally distasteful. I guess it’s because back then there was nowhere else to go.”
I was in a suite freshman year with a double and 2 singles. When I had the single, I went away for a weekend, and came back to find out from 2 roommates that our 4th roommate had locked himself in my room – alone – all weekend. He rarely showered and was unkempt, and I knew, but didn’t want to know, what he did in my room all weekend, so I just burned the sheets and mattress.
One course that stands out as really memorable was a studio art course. It was drawing and I never did so much art work in my life. I think I made about 30 large drawings. All of us did. The professor was a psychologist AND an artist and he was funny and really interesting. One thing I remember his saying was that every line we put on the page was a decision and our responsibility. And we also got to have an eraser.

I left the room.

We used to pretend to fight because we felt we got along too well.

DH, did you “regulate” his dumb ass for that attempt or were you flattered, amused, and/or intrigued?

I had a single, thank god, but spent most nights with my gf anyway.
