Did you see that a bunch of DSK’s friends in france went to the maid’s family in Africa and offered them money if they could get her to drop the charges?
Actually i think it should be fine to offer someone money to drop charges. Threats, no.
Wow, Benson, that’s great. That’s exactly what I’ve told my niece she should aim for. Pay your dues and learn in a salon, then try to get into something like that. Awesome.
My sister has done quite well as a hairdresser. She learned her trade at a public high school (Sarah J. Hale on Pacific St). and that was all she needed. She has got the talent, and she developed quite a following. For about 10 years she owned her own salon in Sheepshead Bay. When she got tired of that she started working in film production. She was the head of hairdressing for one of the big soap operas that was prouced here in NYC, and she won four Emmy’s for her work. Now she works for SNL and the Today show.

benson — Sounds like a great career. Did your daughter do Tina Fey’s Palin hair?
dibs — spot on about the goldfish bowl. Topic was fully vetted and then some a week ago about the same house.
kens — none of what you said surprises me.

Not bad for a high school graduate.
My friend finished a hair dressing school in Bensonhurst and I think it was around 5K.
