  1. “In this case, there are a limited number of individuals involved and their businesses/transactions wouldn’t be difficult to trace.”

Have you ever tried to investigate complex financial fraud in a smart, disciplined, insular community? I smell smoke, I feel heat, but finding the fire would be ridiculously difficult.

  2. “Yeah. The upper east side is actaully near things that are worth being near. Gravesend is near what, coney island?”

See, and i think the UES is near nothing worth being near to.

That makes me assume that other people have other priorities for what they’re near. Perhaps even something out near coney island.

  3. “No, not at all. There’s fraud all around us all the time and the feds can only do so much about it.”

Still Lech, I think this would be a slam dunk if ever there was one. The SYs are virtual sitting ducks for the authorities. It’s not like looking for a needle in a haystack, such as trying to find out who is bilking Medicare our of millions of doctors. In this case, there are a limited number of individuals involved and their businesses/transactions wouldn’t be difficult to trace.
