“I don’t really know what Joan Rivers has ever done.”
Really? She’s a legendary, ground breaking comedian. Maybe not everyone’s cup of tea, but I think it’s hard to argue her accomplishments in the world of comedy.

-Started life as a stand-up comedian. Her main shtick was ragging on her husband Edgar, who was the complete opposite of her. Looked like a pillow salesman.
-was the usual stand-in for Johny Carson on his day off. Was his heir apparent, until she pissed him off when Fox enticed her to start her own late-night talk show (which went nowhere).
-her career blossomed again as a commentator on the Academy Awards. Her main topic was the women’s attire.

Joan Rivers is sort of the female version of Don Rickles. Both of their types of humor degrades themselves, her husband and everybody else. it was all populkar in the 60s and 70s but really isn’t anymore. Whenever Rickles is on Letrerman or the Tonight show these days the audience doesn’t appreciate his style of humor anymore. I think they both continue to do vegas shows and she has been able to do the annoying red carpet commentary for the Oscars, along with her daughter.
I think she now has some line of accessories or cosmetics or whatever that she sells on QVC and probably makes millions off of that because essentially people are stupid.
Benson, yes, EP could be either CHN or CHS. I was thinking of her (Joan Rivers) as more on the block across the street from the Museum. Still it would be interesting to know which building.
I think Joan had the face work you mentioned because she didn’t think she was beautiful.

this blog is boring now. even last week when we tried to have some fun, mr b shut it down (i guess calling rob the H word was not a good idea). anyway, it sucks around here these days.
I don’t really know what Joan Rivers has ever done. TV personality? Movie actress? Singer? I have no idea. I kind of know what she looks like because they ragged on her on Family Guy once, but that was a cartoon version of her. Based on that I’ll take my river view over a Rivers view any day.
