“Joan Rivers always used to make fun of the Royal Family in England”
Some of her best jokes were about the Royals (and Liz Taylor) (and Billings, Montana). I went to college with Melissa, and met Joan at Michael’s Pub on the UES.
“Is she here? The Queen? Oh, sure, she could be in the audience wearing a house dress and a crown.”
“When you own England and Ireland and Scotland and Canada, God damn it, shave your legs!”
Joan Rivers always used to make fun of the Royal Family in England. Johnny carson set her up once with a margaret Thatcher look-alike who “ran into her” in an airport VIP lounge “by chance” and got on Joan’s case about always making fun of the Royal Family. Joan had no clue it was a setup.

“Phyllys Diller once joked about her plastic surgeries, saying: “I used to be young and ugly; now I am old and gorgeous.”
Joan Rivers put it this way: “Every man should strive to look successful. Every woman should strive to look fabulous”.
This was actually the ethos that used to drive my parent’s generation (think Mad Men).

The guys of the OT are prolific poets! (^^^much of the above)
Phyllys Diller called her husband, “Fang”.
I liked Joan Rivers – never liked Rickles nor Henny Youngman.
Randi, 7 in a row baby. how you liking them Knicks now?
“Joan Rivers is sort of the female version of Don Rickles. Both of their types of humor degrades themselves”
AHA! No wonder Lech isn’t impressed: she’s self-effacing.
