Seriously speaking: I really lament the disappearance of the old-time Italians about which Ken speaks – my father’s generation, basically. My father has hands of gold, and more common sense than 80% of today’s college graduates.
I am a commodity person, so I went to tons of specialty conferences and shows. I loved the “softs” the most — coffee, sugar cocoa. It is the interaction of the colonial world (not so colonial anymore) and the colonizers (still give the best parties).
