  1. Scott;

    I did not talk about Republican versus Democrats (voting patterns or office-holders). I spoke of policies.

    There is no getting around this fact: in 50 years, at a time when the US population grew by 100 million people, NYS added about one million. It captured 1% of that growth.

    dona, if you’re going to call DEP you need a plan of action:

    I suggest Weed before, during and after. That way you’ll be on the same warped level.

    I gathering that. In Kansas City, Missouri, I had a 700 dollar water bill. That was like 2 months. It went on and on and the number kept getting higher. Where was the leak? Nobody could find one. I entered into the 7th ring of hell. I finally found out that the equivalent of the borough president lived in the property next door to me. I rang the doorbell literally to ask her to help me. She did, but it took a long time though. I gave her expensive champagne and flowers. She took them.

    Gigantic shitstorm of a day.

    No doubt some very rich people who don’t pay their fair share of taxes are shuffling money around globally to further avoid the wrath of the Democrats.

  4. While there is some correlation between republican voting patterns, and population growth, the correlation is hardly overwhelming.

    Doing a bit of playing with census and voting stats, state growth rates in the last 20 years seem to have a higher correlation with 1900-1920 growth rates than they do with voting patterns in the last 20 years.

  5. “Scumbags should be consulted when fancy pants scholars are coming up with economic theories.”

    I’ve always felt that I have a unique perspective on economics from multiple vantage points…hob nobbing with extremely wealthy hedge fund managers and trolling for rough trade on 8th Ave. The illegal Mexican connection brings an interesting perspective too.

    I’m highly skeptical about this.”

    CGar;

    How so? What do you see turning around their 50-year decline?
