  1. Slopey, I’ll let you in on my secret, but don’t tell anyone. I went on Streeteasy and sorted the listings in both Manhattan and Brooklyn by most expensive to least expensive and took the top one for both boroughs. I suppose I could do it for Bronx, Queens and SI, if I cared to.

  2. “Yes, my new hot lawyer/ MBA student, 27 year old Chinese bf will pick me up in his Mercedes and take me to his place for some tea.”

Boning someone two days in a row does not make him your boyfriend.

  3. Dave, speaking of Serrano Ham, I met the corporate chef of Fig & Olive over the weekend (he is a good friend of a friend). He told me that he was paying $45 a pound for Serrano imported from Spain. He said Fig and Olive charges like $20 for an ounce (or like 4 thin slices) and it goes like hot cakes.

  4. “What the US cannot do anymore is create new projects in anything resembling a timely or cost efficient manner.”

Yup. The Atlantic Yards are a perfect example. If we can’t tell people like Daniel Goldstein to go sit in a corner and play with himself while the grownups get work done we have no hope for improving our infrastructure.
