1. Nice of you to post this one, biff. Makes me wonder. Isn’t there a website somewhere for this sort of thing? brownstoneafficionado.com or something like that? If not, I bet there’d be a market for such a thing. Lots of folks in these parts would be interested in Brooklyn house porn, not just us PLUSAs. Maybe someone stuck at a trading desk all day would have the ability to set something up like this on the sly and then have the business acumen to make a go of it some day. I could see lots of advertising potential.

I prefer soggy cereal. Especially corn flakes. I think when soggy, it takes on a better flavor.

California did a pretty decent job of repairing bridges and freeways after the Loma Prieta and Northridge quakes in the 1990s.
The subway lines through the WTC site were rebuilt relatively quickly (a year or two), and it not take too long to clear the site to the point where it was ready to be rebuilt.
I think the US can get things done in an emergency, as long as what is being done is basically an exact replacement of what was there before.
What the US cannot do anymore is create new projects in anything resembling a timely or cost efficient manner.
It seems like we lost that skill sometimes around the 1970s, although it had been fading in various ways for a decade or two before that.
Do people prefer crunchy or soggy cereal?
Personally, I don’t like putting anything hard in my mouth first thing in the morning.
