Dibs, any idea what % of GDP Japan spends on public investment in infrastructure? New projects and maintenance? What % we spend? I believe we spend much smaller % than we did a few decades ago.
Also – did you hear the report that PS 29 in Cobble Hill hadn’t been reciting the Pledge of Allegiance for YEARS until a few parents asked their kids about it and the kids couldn’t recite it…. – now it’s been reinstated – but why was it not being recited for years?
Everyone knows that Cobble Hill is full of Commies.

Eisenhower Parkway in NJ was started during Ike’s administration & isn’t finished yet – there are 117 state, fed & local agencies that have to sign off on changes to it.
Part of this is due to how difficult and expensive things are to build in NYC and the economic downturn has certainly played a role, but similar problems are common across the United States
Japan’s been in a downturn since 1990!!!!
The roads, highwats, trains and subways are the best in the world except for what China has recently built.
Japan gets winters worse than NYC in parts. There are NO potholes.

People in the comments on the GE article suggested that an Alternative Minimum Tax for Corps might make sense. Thoughts?
Do you guys remember how long it took the MTA to build the FRONT of the LIRR Atlantic Station on Flatbush? 5 years! – that’s incredible
Dibs – John Boehner is just a whiny beeyatch -so I and most don’t respect him – good luck Johnny trying to take Obama to task

Re: GE
“The scandal isn’t what’s illegal; it’s what’s legal.” (Attributed to Michael Kinsley and also to John Bogle)
So which is it? US overtaxes corporations or it’s a good thing GE pays none?
