  1. Gem, the first (or second) day home from the hospital (after having baby), my husband made cold cut sandwiches for lunch and then we had sushi for dinner.
I was craving sushi throughout pregnancy and went so long with out it.

  2. “well that’s the POINT of these hotdogs b/c they are organic or farm raised cows in a nice pretty farm in upstate NY and the cows are allowed to graze and there are no nitrates added -blah blah blah.”

How can you ever be so sure? Not that I care what a hotdog is acyually made of but I don’t want to be bilked into paying for something I neither care about nor trust to be accurately labeled.

  3. I hope not…cause pregnant women shouldn’t eat hot dogs (and cold cuts).

Gem – don’t freak out. I think the hot dog is fine since was cooked killing any bacteria. I don’t think the minor amount of preservatives are going to hurt you.

  4. Etson: Some of the articles in the diocesan newspaper are unbelievable. Not really believing in God or Jesus would probably help you with these folks.

Everybody thinks that Catholic priests can’t be married. But there are tons of them. Ones who used to be Episcopalians. Many of the Episcopalian married priests who are uncomfortable with…..(fill in the blank related to progressive ideas) become Catholic priests.

  5. Lech – I bought my couch from Bloomingdales. Its a really nice dark chocolate brown leather couch that is now 8 years old and still looks good – there are no splits in the leather or worn parts. Bloomingdales also is willing to haggle with you – I think I paid about $1800 for the couch

  6. Well, is this going to be a formal living room couch or one that you can fall asleep on? If the latter, the one I have in the TV room is the most comfortable I’ve ever had.

Will it be just for entertaining WASPS with stiff upper lips and glasses of Pimms or can beer be spilled on it and wiped off without major issues.

  7. Dibs – haaaa, yeah yeah I know I guess I should have turned on my heel and left when I saw the price posted

ET – well that’s the POINT of these hotdogs b/c they are organic or farm raised cows in a nice pretty farm in upstate NY and the cows are allowed to graze and there are no nitrates added -blah blah blah. I still haven’t touched a deli sandwich since June – my god I can’t WAIT for City Sub!!!!
