  1. Biff, my wife and I are very assertive people who are used to getting our way pretty much all the time with third parties. It leads to a pretty interesting dynamic when we are doing things like buying furniture, or a house, or moving and deciding where things are going to go.

  2. no suggestions from about couch places. i bought my couch from my upstairs neighbors for 50 bux when they were moving out of the country and couldnt take any of their furniture. i wanna say showrooms like tht are kinda trashy, but im not 100 percent sure

    *rob*

  3. ET about sushi and being preggo – my wife was craving it too and then we went to Tokyo and we figured the sushi there must be safe so she ate some, but in hindsight it was a low end crappy tourist place out by roppongi hills and the sushi was probably worse than a $10 sushi special at a hole in the wall in midtown manhattan.

  4. Lech, I’m surprised. Based on the few times I’ve met her, your wife seems far too assertive and strong to let you tell her what she can and can’t get.

I couldn’t care less what furniture / decor / renovation / applicance decisions Mrs C makes for our home. As long as I have my big screen TV and my DVR, I’m happy.

  5. BSM – true, I think Americans have gotten a bit overboard with “what not to eat during pregnancy”

Dibs – yeah I hear you – but like I said, I tried it, lived and learned and won’t return!

ET – ok don’t laugh – but I actually have my City Sub sandwich order written on a post it in my wallet so that my husband can bring me the sandwich when I am in the hospital. Ah sushi – that’s another one I gave up too – soon ET, sooon

  6. “Many of the Episcopalian married priests who are uncomfortable with…..(fill in the blank related to progressive ideas) become Catholic priests.”

All of the gay priests / pastors of whatever denomination seem to become Episcopalians.
“Not that there’s anything wrong with that”, and so on…
But the Episcopal church has got itself way too hung up fighting about (and in some cases campaigning on) a fairly unimportant issue.

  7. Not a sleeping couch DIBS. This is a socializing and TV watching (for the wife) couch.

I think I like couches with wooden legs, you know so the bottom of the couch is a few inches above the floor and you can see under it.
