cmu- It isn’t the law to move to the back of the bus but it is to give the front seats to the elderly and the handicapped. I’ve been on plenty of buses where the driver told someone to give up their seats. Plus she had a walker- she would have been blocking the aisle totally.
“But why aren’t their parents teaching them respect? I know I must sound totally naive, but I just don’t get these parents. I learned values from my mom and day and I will pass on what I learned to my kids. What is with the generation of people who have 12 -18 year olds?”
Imagine how much worse it will be if Roe v. Wade is reversed.
i always give up my seat to someone who is super old or pregnant looking. but i dont think people should have to or be made to feel bad if they dont. i had one lady ask me for my seat once on the train and seriously, bitch was only like 10 years older than me. i dont think so lady!
Gem, sing it sister! I lament the same things each time I ride the bus. I often call Momma Snappy to tell her about how folks these days aren’t teaching their kids respect. Then we spend 5 minutes disssing them all and making ourselves feel better 🙂 Ha!
CMU, they usually do tell people to move to the back and exit back there. The drivers of the 63 are usually very good about such things. Driver yesterday was an aberration.

Very true Gem. The 63 is always full of elderly folks. The school kids in the afternoon crowd the bus and have no respect for them. It’s sad.
