  1. ENY- I couldn’t agree more with your take on same shuffle of mediocre CEO’s just going from company to company despite having a solid track record and still being able to collect huge sums of money and perks.
Look at the music industry – talk about musical chairs with the top Executives of each label just being shuffled about – its really sickening

  2. “All that matters is that I make money for the fund. I do. Otherwise I’d be gone. very simple.”

Cool! Contact all of your fund’s clients and let them know they can catch your act as “DIBS” on Brownstoner. I’m sure they will be pleased!

    “What’s your excuse?”

I’m doing OK. And, I don’t spend minutes, hours, days and evenings blogging here, as you’ve probably noticed. No one posts here near as much as you. No one.

“And as far as not taking the high road, it was you that traveled that path first with the comment about my veracity.”

Wrong again, but of course you wouldn’t know the high road if it rose up and struck you. So I’m on pretty safe ground there.

  3. Having been part of a firm that has laid off 38% in the last 3 years merit and willingness to be team player meant more than seniority.

Old and young laid off based on their records and skill sets. Few were surprised who were let go, mostly driftwood, whether they were 29 or 59.

  4. There are really very few people who are actually capable of making one good decision a day and not making any bad ones.

That’s why people like that can hold a position on merit and still fuck around a lot.

  5. “Can a professional who spends most of his day posting on a blog, rather than attending to the duties his position requires, be said to hold his job solely based on merit? I think not.”

    Wrong.

In certain jobs, you’re definitely holding your position on merit if you make just one good decision a day, and don’t make any bad ones.

Trading is a perfect example of this.

What you do with the other 99% of your day is up to you.

  6. You’re a pretty good example yourself. Can a professional who spends most of his day posting on a blog, rather than attending to the duties his position requires, be said to hold his job solely based on merit? I think not.

All that matters is that I make money for the fund. I do. Otherwise I’d be gone. very simple.

    What’s your excuse?

And as far as not taking the high road, it was you that traveled that path first with the comment about my veracity. See, it seems I know the details in the WI case and all you want to do is spout off your liberal union-loving rhetoric without knowing the facts. Take up a sign and go to the statehouse.
