  1. “yeah – it’s more”

Unless you’re being very pedantic and not including Medicare in DIBS “Medicaid” comment that can’t be true.
Entire military budget is less than Medicare plus Medicaid.

  2. Ha – I am actually willing to pay more taxes and I probably make 10% of what DIBS makes per hear…..

The tax cuts gave me an extra $20 in my paycheck (when I was collecting a real one) -big whoop! however collectively that $20 per paycheck for 20 million American middle class taxpayers adds up to a lot of dough the Govt could use to fund programs they are now looking to cut – it’s a disgrace!

  3. Taking a quick look at census numbers, it looks like the total number of local, state, and federal employees went from 17,503,691 in 2000 to 17,478,592 in 2009.

Total government spending as a percent of GDP went from 32% to 41% in that same time.

I’m not sure how much of the growth is due to increased cost per employee, but I would image that it is a significant part.

  4. M4l – I understand! truthfully learning how to “tweet” is easy and it’s easy to put the twitter widget on to your website(let’s say the home page) if you set up your website on your own using wordpress – they have a section in the HTML code where you can add your twitter feed, so anything you post on Twitter feeds to your website in real time so it’s sorta cross-polineation -getting attention from twitter to go to your website and people who check out your website can also see what you are posting on twitter
