  1. Welllll lech- I think the experience would be a matter of expectations and on one level you would be right. Except the experience would be a lie, and for some of us, the eye is so highly trained that things would seem off. I’m not saying my eye is capable of discerning a master copy from the original, but side by side there is a difference. Basically I may think I am having the exact same experience whether or not it is a copy, but in fact, the experience would be as fake as the copy. Like when you lie to yourself. And I hate lying to myself- or to anyone else.

  2. List of things that exist for all practical purposes as long as you believe they do, and if you die not knowing any better, what’s the difference?

    1. Original artwork

    2. Love

    3. God

  3. About fake/real, I like ceramics and have some antique Chinese stuff. It is low quality stuff (Song Dynasty) made for tombs and a lot of it made it to the market in the 80s. It may not be “real”. It is very hard to authenticate. In fact the Chinese are very good at producing “fake” antique ceramics. You can get something carbon dated, but the forgers have learned how to get old ceramic shards, grind it down and recast it so that can be carbon dated to a certain era.
