  1. i didnt say they dont need money, bxgirl. of course they do.

just dont be shocked that people steal luxury items, especially people who never in a million years had/could/or will ever have the chance to obtain them. when it’s shoved down your face as much as it is in our society it’s like dangling a fresh live sardine down the throat of a cat who lives on kibble. what do you think the cat is gonna do? is the cat gonna go out and find a job that day to get those sardines? eh… not likely, cats can’t fish and can shit and they sure as hell arent going to care if they nip your fingers grabbing for that sardine. it’s weird, im SHOCKED more people dont revolt in this country, take over those luxury condos, squat. wtf? there are enough of us to get it done. we are so weak, but we’ve been conditioned to be weak, weaker and weaker with each higher priced luxury good dangled in front of us.

  2. Excuse me, donatella- is there some after 8 rule about posting? I’m putting in my opinion, same as you do. If you want to make something out of it, be my guest. And if I recall, you were the one who said we shouldn’t be talking about certain subjects, like religion, on the OT.

  3. If being a museum church helps them raise funds, why not? We pay to see movies, we pay to get into museums and plays, we pay to go onto the roof deck of the Empire State Building. All that money goes toward upkeep. I suppose they could toss in the towel and sell the building and worship in a concrete box, but church buildings have a long history of being an integral teaching tool for the gospel. Moreover, many of them were built by their congregations as an important community effort. For many, their church is a symbol of their faith. Nothing wrong with that.

  4. quote:
There was a story in Tokyo about an elderly professor who was caught shoplifting a specialty shitake mushroom. He said he was just sick and tired of scrimping and denying himself luxuries and couldn’t take it anymore.

omg, <3!!!! hahahahahaha go Professor! this is what society does to people when luxury is forced down our throats, and we are made to look at every day. you can have it better than a gazillion other people out there, but when you are constantly bombarded with luxurious things that you SHOULD and NEED have, it does bad shit to your mind. i dont want to open up a can of worms, but this is a big problem in the african-american community. (cue people asking me what the fuck i know about the african-american community).. see: the bling effect.

  5. Jessi, right. But you can give what you can if anything or if you can’t afford it, they don’t force you to leave which is what happens when you have to pay for a ticket to the museum church.
