  1. To obtain a copy of your Criminal History Report (rap sheet) report to one of the following:

    * Legal Action Center, 225 Varick Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY, 10014, (212) 243-1313. Appointments to get copies of Criminal History Reports (rap sheets) can be made Mon-Fri 9 a.m.-5 p.m. They do not take walk-in’s. You must make an appointment with the Rap Sheet Coordinator.
    * Police Headquarters, 1 Police Plaza, New York, NY and request an “Albany Package”. At Police Headquarters you will be fingerprinted. There is a fee of $15.00 (money orders only) for fingerprinting. It is the responsibility of the person requesting the Criminal History Report (rap sheet) to send the fingerprints, the form provided in the “Albany Package”, and a money order for the processing fee to Albany.

  2. Denton, there should be a record of his arrest and disposition of the court proceedings. What county did it happen in? Tell him to call the criminal court of that county and ask for the clerk to get help.

  3. I have a lawyer question…

    One of my many brother in laws recently moved to FL. He applied for a permit.

    They discovered that he has a DWI arrest in Queens in 1996.

    If the DWI arrest or conviction was a felony, he can’t get the permit. If a misdemeanor, he gets it. Problem is he doesn’t know how to get this info. He called the precinct and they couldn’t help him.

    He’s willing to pay something for this… any ideas?
