DIBS, I’m not so sure about that as landlord is a corporation. I know corporate entities filing bankruptcy allows it to selectively reject any leases, contracts it deem not favorable. just not sure if these retail leases have any special protection or not
DIBS, I’ve followed and researched AMD for a while already. recent move is due to takeover rumor. prior to that, it was bouncing up from the 7.50 lows after ceo firing cause it’s fusion chips are trouncing intel, intel had to recall it’s new chip (ie huge poop to its face), and lots of OEMs are placing orders for the fusion chip. I’m of opinion that if not takeover premium, it would still have gotten back up to the 9’s prior to ceo firing but would be slower climb. the previous ceo was a clown – ie deserved to be pushed out. the takeover rumor is nice to hear but I’m banking on it’s fusion chips to continue to eat intel’s lunch. conservatively, I see it be around 14-15 by yearend
I started trying to follow the statistics thread and then figured WTF, I am 62 years old and will not have to know this. Enough already. I got all 95s in high school math through advanced algebra but that was a long time ago!
while the lawyers are here, might as well throw my question into the ring. Does landlord filing bankruptcy all it to selectively reject leases – ie can it give boot to existing retail tenant without any recourse to tenant?

Sorry, I don’t know enough about bankruptcy to answer that.
Leases stay.
m4l, the current move in the stock is due to a takeover premium because there is not CEO. Sign on of new CEO may depress price.
Also, from a takeover standpoint it is now very expensive compared to other tech takeovers.

Helluva job title, eh?!
