Landlord in bankruptcy can reject the lease but that doesn’t mean tenant has to leave – it just means the landlord isn’t required to provide services. For example, the tenant can stay, but it might be without working elevators or heat. Still, that tenant, if asked to vacate, should be able to negotiate a buy-out.

At issue, as part of the divorce we agreed to sell some Hamptons land and put it in trust for the two kids. For three yrs she has refused. I emailed her she now has to do it as kids are getting older.
She has retained counsel and is going to challenge the whole agreement.
