“When you have a buyer, you’ll remind her that this is about the kids and she will sign the contract.”
As much as I hate to disagree with my esteemed law partner, jessib, couples don’t always do what’s best for their kids, especially when Staffordshire is up for grabs:
DH, the time, money, and competition is very unfavorable here vs. Richmond. here, huge odds of losing a ton of money opening a retail biz. not so in Richmond. Alot of people do well opening biz here but far more get killed big time.
DCB – she’s jealous that you have moved on and are happy. All this crap stems from that.
Just put the land on the market. When you have a buyer, you’ll remind her that this is about the kids and she will sign the contract. If she doesn’t then you take her to court.
What is a heartbreaker, how awful, D-Cat. That agreement was for the kids. My dear friend, had a nasty divorce which doesn’t end. His sole concern in life is his teenage kids. Every decision is made through the courts, thanks to the ex-wife who threatened to take them to Europe. I contrast that with my sister’s situation – her ex-husband did some bad stuff, they got divorced, but somehow despite everything, they really cooperated with the kids, who are now happy successful adults. That is the most important thing. I hope you can work it out for their sake. Not easy. She sounds awful.
DH, NYU was asking 35k/yr when I looked and it was largely known only in tri-state area. Stern biz school then is nowhere near what it is today. same goes for their law school.
