DH, can your break lease in Spring (ie pay cheaper rent earlier than later)? I got the impression lots of people will be looking in Spring hence why that’s my target date to advertise my place.

As for Mexican delivery, let’s just say that if DIBS were to count the number of Mexican and Central American restaurants on 5th Ave between, say, 12th and 24th streets, he would bemoan having chosen the wrong ghetto for his home purchase.

Center Slope has fewer possibilities for wining &/or dining.
DH — so look at Greenwood, too. A bunch of new sonstruction as well as 2-fams with rentals. 4 stops to Canal on N, if you change at Pacific St. 5 stops to Broadway Lafayette if you change to D. And you could always just take the slow boat to Chinatown (R train) all the way to Canal or Prince. 5th Ave in teens/low 20s has a bit of a scene now (see earlier Freddy’s posts) and there’s a nice cluster of places on 6th around 20th and there’s 7th Ave between 14th-16th (Steinhof, Thistle Hill, Beer Table, or whatever it’s called). You wouldn’t be as dependent on Center Slope as you might think. Ask snappy about it when she wakes up.
