  1. No more NYC public schools.

    No more F train.

    No more NYC income taxes.

No more getting stuck in traffic on the BQE.

No more homeless people who smell like pee sitting next to me on my morning commute.

No more pretending that completely dehumanizing bullshit is OK because it’s NYC and that’s so badass.

  2. “We have a deal on the house. Subject to inspection and whatnot, and of course signing an actual contract”

Congrats jackal! Nice that it happened on your birthday too. Best of luck with the inspection and all.

  3. “‘and I know they tell me EVERYTHING.’

Sorry for the broken record – but how do you know? And don’t say you just do.”

jessi, I’m very sorry. I would never intentionally ignore a friend!!! Meant to respond to your “omniscient” post earlier too.

All joking aside, there are just certain people with whom a relationship and repoire develops over time, and you come to know they’re being totally open and honest with you. Ask them any question, there’s never a moment’s hesitation in giving you an answer; you never feel they’re holding back; there’s no question you’re afraid to ask because you don’t have the sense that any areas are off limits; they volunteer things you’d never expect them to volunteer. This is how I can tell. Obviously not true of everyone.

  4. “that’s why i always use the subject “hey bitch!” – start with low expectations and then just exceed them slightly.”

    ROFL!

Ive just finished listening to “You Made Me Happy” by the Bennie Moten Orchestra. With that, I am departing the Internet for human-to-human (and some human-to-dog) interaction. I hope everyone has a pleasant weekend.
