When I bought my first condo here, the seller got some Park Ave family friend lawyer who knew jack shit about a real estate closing. Basically my lawyer could have told him anything and he’d have no way of knowing what was right, wrong, customary, etc. Luckily it was a very straightforward closing.
I’ve probably done well over 20 closing s as buyer or seller and I would NEVER do one wihtout a lawyer.
