Rather have a nice microbrew ale. Not much for whiskey.
re: jackal @ 12:31 — as long as it doesn’t affect your negotiating style. Your ability to feign batshit crazy is a selling point to SSCJ&L clients.
Actually (and not trying to get into a left right thing here), I think Loughner poses an interesting set of questions about mental illness, insanity and intent. There is a lot of seeming evidence of both his truly unhinged and delusional nature and of his rational premeditated approach to this attack. A lot of his syllogisms — both online and references to classroom discussions — are available and he seems uanble to separate raelity from the meanderings of philosophy and logical argument taken to absurdity. And he just looks a bit off his rocker, to my (and many others’) view. But he organized a violent attack that seems consistent with his anger, views and goals. It was an organized and rational pursuit within a deranged and absurd worldview. I think it is quite a conundrum.
Why does the fact that it’s been made since the 1200s change anything? Hue-mons acted like hue-mons back then too.
I’m sure there are differences between these different scotches. My point is that it’s human nature to subcategorize and then try to distinguish yourself by forming an opinion on narrow little subcategories. That alone accounts for at least 50% of white culture. Pretending to really like some wine from some little vineyard on the south slope of some mountain somewhere, when the only reason you’re saying it it to prove how esoteric your tastes are and the fact is you’re just paying attention to this little subcategory to prove something to other hue-mans and it has very little to do with taste.
wild turkey is much better and MUCH cheaper
