none of my brothers asked me to be godfather of their kids. I wonder why. Do they discriminate against atheists?
I remember as a kid trying to pronounce Extreme Unction and of course had no idea what it meant. I think was one of the sacraments had to memorize…I think there were 7.

I have no g*dparents, but I do have a middle name that cracks people up, and I had to put up with a lot of sh*t for it growing up. It’s an old family name from both sides of my family. As it turns out, my parents were 9th cousins or something.
I am close to my godfather still. He is a cool old guy. My godmother passed away.

“The politicization of hatred of government,” – very apt phrase of what seems to me has happened in this country. Few decades back was mostly a leftwing phenomenum ( way back when when there was a leftist movement in this country) of rhetoric from SDS, weather underground, black panthers, etc. Now it seems very rightwing.
Charles Baron was a Black Panther but no one seems to remember!!!!!!
