  1. I am godparents to my twin’s children. I deserved it- I was with her when she gave birth and got bitten. I think it was when I said, “Oh, c’mon! It’ll be over soon!” Jeesh- try to inject a little humor into a situation and they go all postal on ya.

  2. I hate my middle name (for no rational reason), but I like using my middle initial. Then again, I hate my last name, too. Could my name possibly sound MORE Jewish???

  3. I enjoyed myself, too. Thanks, Benson. I was looking at my pictures, and realized I should have taken many more than I did, for all of the great stuff we passed in the car. There were a couple of houses I should have taken pix of, and I should have shot the WPA Deco rec center in Sunset Park. Well, now I have to go back on foot, especially to wander around Sunset Park.

In the “who knew?” category – the huge block wide basilica, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, in Sunset Park. I had no idea a church that large was there.

Shore Rd, in Bay Ridge – a sad shame all the old mansions are no longer there, but still a really beautiful road, very much like Riverside Drive, but with a better river view.

The older Victorian and turn of the 20th C. homes in Bay Ridge – read about them from people posting here, like Expert Texpert and italiana, but great actually seeing them. They need to be landmarked!!!!!!!

We did not discuss that last issue. I did not want to be tossed out of the car in Dyker Heights. They don’t have trains there. 😉

    My eggplant parm was excellent!

  4. wait, godmother, godfather… i assume you have one of each? i have no clue who my godfather is (nor do i care really) i bet i dont have one anyway

  6. “Anyone who is not baptized winds up in Limbo for all eternity after they die.”

I wasn’t baptized. My parents thought we should choose for ourselves if we wanted to be.
