CGar, I know better than to give on the move to W’chester without extracting some serious marital concessions. This vacation is just one. If I’m giving on a move to the suburbs I think I’ve got a bunch more coming my way.
The Japanese were good at building their empire because they had to be. They needed raw materials. The Chinese didn’t have the same problem until recently.
So far (as Chinaman takes inventory of responses post request for bowing before me):
– CGar is smart man and a survivor
– Donatella knows greatness when she sees it
the rest will be sent to the firing lines – ie no brownies, no respect, no use to keep around; but if you owe us $$$, we’ll keep you around till you work off the debt
WOW…I’ve done more than my fair share of bending over for Chinese.
MM – You’d know if you hung around civilization – Gnorman lives in my pond & he took in all the elvin orphans. I didn’t see it happen because they tunneled under the snow.
Finally G.N.O.M.E. steps in. Where have you minipeople been?
M4L- I’d like to point out that although I have not bowed to you because of the lack of brownies, I have been defending the brilliance of Chinese civilization, so I do deserve to not be sent to the firing line.

M4L, you have to get one of those great Imperial Chinese Emperor’s robes. If one has to bow, it should be to a really spiffy dresser.
I have one, an original one, hanging in P-Town. Lots of gold thread.
