A bill becomes law in Canada after a bunch of politicians get sufficiently inebriated to concoct the most outlandish policies possible and it passes quickly so that there is ample time to still catch the end of the hockey game.
“The people that freak me out are those that are excellent public speakers but totally awkward one on one. How does that happen?”
No kidding. I just gave a presentation, felt totally at ease. They asked me to conduct the round robin discussion at the end. Public speaking is like performing to me. In person, I prefer lurking.
This is how we learned things back in the day. Of course, the fact this taught how a bill became a law in the US didn’t help much in my Canadian history course, but it was entertaining.
Biff, all you have to do is put that to music, call it Canada Rock, and you’ll make a fortune.
My son loves School House Rock
So to answer the begging question…

My favorite Schoolhouse Rock videos were the history videos: No More Kings, Preamble and Fireworks in particular. Great tunes.

So, ET, how’s the babe?
“Your wish came true – you’re a total a-hole again.”
he stopped being one? where was I?
“Haha, it’s scary that CGar thinks I don’t know how a bill becomes a law”
Not true at all. Was just choosing my words carefully since I presumed pocket veto was what you meant were the president to refuse to sign the bill.
And, yes, Biff, kudos to Schoolhouse Rock for that!!
