Not that substantial, but some, mostly in Kaifeng. Now there are annoying Lubavichers in most of the big cities.

Slides can be terrific. I produced many multi image shows & tutored CEOs on how to speak. If possible, a slide should just give a visual metaphor for what’s being discussed. If you must build data, it should be done a bullet point at a time or else the audience reads ahead & doesn’t listen.
I did a course on it at the New School & one bit was building an 8-point precis. The 7th point read: If you’re reading this, raise your right hand. When I got to that point in the script I read: If you’re listening to me raise your left hand. 80% raised their right hands, 18 raised their lefts & one wise-ass raised both!

I once had a job as a management consultant.
I researched myself, couldn’t figure out in what way I was qualified and quit.
By now I’d probably be a zillionaire if I had stayed with it.
P.S. Everybody was afraid of me and that was kind of nice.

filing NJ state taxes (NOT!)

Yo – I haven’t filed state income taxes in a very long time (10+ years). My dad once worked fo r the IRS, and he told me you take take your ever loving time…that is if they owe _you_. Well, what’s done is done, but I’d really like to collect every last penny NJ owes me (don’t we all!).
Questions:
Will I get in any kind of trouble once I open pandora’s box (i.e start sending in completed forms for all those years)?
How can I obtain my past employment records (the money I payed in each check). Discreetly if possible. IOW is there a specific bureau I can contact to obtain this data – w/o necessarily telling them why I want it?
Why haven’t they contacted me??? Is the advice my father gave basically true? There may be some years for which I owe a couple of bucks anyhow. Overall though I’m positive they owe me.
Is it as straitforward as filing (even this late!) and waiting for what they owe you? Is it subject to any sort of adjustments, after so long?
Am I crazy for even asking? This is the question for which I need an answer the most.
