L, things are ugly. Many if not most side streets are impassible, have not been plowed. And many will not be plowed cuz dumbasses abandoned their cars on them.
5th, 6th, 7th, 8th Aves have been plowed but sometimes impassable as cars get stuck, fishtail, others have to back up, and so on. Obviously none of these assholes are from Vermont.
Wondering what things might look like when I get back tomorrow night.
As I parked our car in long-term parking at LGA on my way out I saw that one of the rear tires was almost flat. So I’ll be changing a flat in the snow with three kids melting down after their bedtimes after traveling most of the day. That’s gonna rule.
Brooklyn Heights, Gem. It is my company though, like ishtar points out. Went to dinner at a friend’s last night and the side streets are a total no-go.
“This was a big storm but we all can thank our lucky stars that none of us needed an ambulance….what happens to one of these people on unplowed streets if they have a medical emergency. Something critical like a heart attack or stroke. SOL. ”
i read somewhere that response times for ambulances in Brooklyn was about an hour due to the snow.
don’t worry guys, manhattan is fully plowed so tourists can go to their broadway shows
