Well, bobjohn, I get to enjoy the stellar service of the C, in Fort Greene/Clinton hill. Then I get to enjoy going up and down and up and down and up and down the stairs in New York city’s answer to Caluctta (complete with black stalagtites and rats) — Fulton Street — so I can’t really complain about the N or R, I guess.
I went up on my roof Sunday am when it started to snow, it was getting a little slick and went to check the gutters. (The last freaking thing I wanted was a water problem!) and after I punched my way up through the hatch I was thinking man, I don’t need to fall off this roof. Kind of gingerly and carefully inched to the edge to check. Then did my monkey act hanging on the ladder and balancing the top of the hatch.
Reporting that streets are not plowed at Classon Ave & Prospect Pl. St Marks doesn’t look plowed either. I’m stunned. Is anyone collecting pics of unplowed conditions? I have some of this intersection.
DCB – remember I am blonde – so please explain what you are trying to say in laymen’s terms? what do liberals have to do with this mess? Liberals are all about taxes which in essence would keep many city workers…..working!
Oh that is so bad about ambulance response time
DH – I couldn’t agree more about bloomie – did you see on the NYT city blog how CLEAR mayor bloomberg’s East 79th street block was?
IJ – ah, ok that gives me some hope then that I might get me boots this afternoon!
Lech – south slope is very bad, all of BK is bad. Why do people insist on pulling their cars out in this? I mean we are such drivers, but the car stays put for the next few days and we just get by making food at home – what a novel idea?

donatella, today getting on r train in bayridge was much simpler then in Park Slope when train was completely full. BTW the X27 bus is in service.
Even if the city had called a snow emergency there would have still been a bunch of jackasses on the road.

Benson says I need a condo. I say I need a man.

DCB- right, because conservative policies never have unintended consequences.
I like Bay Ridge a lot. Unfortunately what I don’t like is the N or R. That is the downside of that neighborhood.
Yes, rf, the city should have called a SNOW EMERGENCY and kept everyone off the streets.
Glad I didn’t have a heart attack shovelling, or fall off my roof!!!!!
