donatella, I remarked yesterday that there were guys with shovels looking for work all over Bed Stuy yesterday. I hadn’t seen them during the storms last year.
Here I am day 2 at work and 3rd Ave and 42nd does not look like the same place as yesterday. Yesterday, there were pick up workers shoveling on the corners but the burnes (is that how you spell that) were mountainous. Now it is just your typical taupe colored slush and piles of dirty snow. Eastern Fort Greene still looks pretty primitive though and my car is fully buried. I need to find a couple of teenage boys to shovel. Where are they?
ugh Dibs – that’s an annoying way to spend a morning!
I agree – I think the administration should be fired! not the workers who are getting the directives from supervisors!
Our street is still not plowed. I half expected to see them ticketing the cars that are stuck parked on either side.
I’m really glad I don’t have to get my car out any time soon, as it’s really trapped.
This is really bad – I’ve never seen such issues with getting the streets plowed.
Of course, I work in Times Square, and they have that fully cleared, including all the walking only spaces. God forbid the tourists miss their new years eve celebrations, when all of us brooklynites are still trapped in our outer boroughs.

Arkady, what could be amusing about skylights. I can understand all the terms used to describe the snow storm: plowed, deep, 12″, etc.

dibs, clearly an old man like you should be living in a condo.
Supply your own amusing comment about skylights – I’d drafted one but was suddenly not “signed in” & not doing it again.
